Don sent us several photos of his Mopar collection and we're not jealous, you are!
This is my 1967 Dodge Coronet 500 2drht--the engine is a 1957 392 Hemi that has a T-56 6-speed with overdrive in 5th & 6th gears--I drove from Florida to upstate New York a few years ago and cruised all the way up & all the way back to Florida with 24.2 mpg average on over a 4000 miles I put on the car on this trip--I got pulled over 4 times & all they wanted was to look at the car--This was my 1st conversion before kits were available--but it is violently fast & quick--its where I became addicted to these trannys--thanks for making kits--its a lot easier than fabricating parts.
The 63 Sport Fury has a modern aluminum head 426 Max wedge & the TKO-600 5-speed with 36% OD & I included the engine pictures because hardly anyone ever sees what awsome works of art these are.
The 1966 Coronet 500 convertible is the next one to get a 6-speed OD tranny bolted up to this 426 Hemi--this is a real pleasure to drive as is but your 6-speed OD will bring it into the modern world--I love these modern 5 & 6-speed stick O.D. trannys & try talking a lot of folks into them. As for me---they are the only way to fly!
I built the 69 Barracuda convertible for my cute wife--its a 383 big block with a 32% OD 5-speed stick & its a wild ride--she started liking the Hemi Coronet too much so I figured I'd better build her one before she got too fond of my Hemi car.
