Silver Sport Transmissions CEO, Paul Lee, invited the whole company down to see him race in Bristol Tennessee for the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals. He had his funny car decked out in SST colors with our logo on the sides and on the hood. The employees enjoyed a behind-the-scenes look at the races and some tasty food in Paul's hospitality area in the pits. We all had a blast watching the races. Rough track conditions meant that Paul and many others had to let off the go pedal before crossing the finish line, but those who did cross at top speed were breaking track records in the cold and humid conditions.
This is a post Ryan added to his Facebook page about all the mods he has made to his car (See the original post).
The beginning of summer marks the rebirth of thestepchild. There are quite a few people to acknowledge that made this possible. Without their help and support this never would have been possible and each role was just as critical as the next.
First and most importantly I need to thank my wonderful wife Sarah for allowing me to live in the garage this winter and her great photos. Hundreds of hours of time were taken away from family life to make this possible. As we all know time is the one thing we can never get back.
The Camaro was deemed the step child by my friends because it quickly took a back seat to our Nova when it came around. I had it set in my mind that the Camaro would remain mostly untouched from that point on regarding major upgrades. But at the 2016 fm3roadtrip carsandcones Jeff Schwartz selected me as one of the recipients of a chassis to be awarded. Not only was I completely surprised to receive it but now the gears in my head started turning. Nick Lingua is a true man of integrity and with out his rock solid principals and friendship I may have only received half of a chassis.
The car was manufactured in Cali and spent it's life there until I bought it at a car show in 99. I drove this car as a daily driver in high school, I met my wife in this car cruising University Ave and have many memories with it over the years. I did my first Read more
For a couple of years now, Eric Fleming has used and abused his TREMEC TKO on the track, but he's passed the TKO on to a friend and is now putting in a TREMEC Magnum from SST along with a host of other changes so he can shave even more time off those great numbers he's getting on the track. In this thread, he posts loads of photos and details on the build. Read along here on Digital Corvettes. This is the last time you'll see his car looking like this! >>>
Serge Berthier of France shared a photo of his Jensen Interceptor Mark III soon to be equipped with a Tremec Transmissions Magnum 6 speed. Here is what he had to say.
"My Jensen Interceptor Mark III is used for Enduro Rally. She has just completed the Rally of the Incas (Buenos Aires-Lima in 29 days thru the Andes).
I have decided for the next Enduro Rally to equip the car with a Manual Tremec."

Our short throw shifter is turning heads in the autocross world. Ryan Buck demonstrates just how short it is!
Ryan's Facebook Post:
"The new 427 SBC made 625 horse power and 589 foot pounds of torque!! The AFR - Air Flow Research 210 competition heads and Titon TXR intake made a great motor exceptional.
Clay and the team at T.P.I. Specialties Inc. (T.P.I.S.) put together one awesome small block that packs a nice punch. Pat at The Carburetor Shop setup a sweet Holley XP carb that should make throttle response crisp and fast.
It will be a great addition to the Schwartz Performance Inc. chassis and Silver Sport Transmissions T56 in the Stepchild 68 Camaro. Our Falken Tire will be putting it all to the pavement. I can't wait to hear it roar at high rpm around the track with the Borla Exhaust Atak mufflers. "
